Well as you can see, I've been led here by your link, and now I'm rather pissed at myself for never reading this story before because it was absolutely amazing! Seriously, this beautiful fic puts all my dabbles in the GP fandom to shame, but at the same time I couldn't be happier to discover that there's another GP author out there who understands the nuances of this pairing so well and can depict it so accurately in their writing :D I was especially taken away by your characterizations of Oishi and Eiji, and not a single move or gesture or show of affection and support between them seemed out of place or anything but vitally necessary to the story. The line “Eiji...,” he says, delicately. just about floored me with the mental image it gave me, the tone of Oishi's voice and everything about that moment felt perfect. Eiji too was inspiring and spot-on, his anger and frustration but also his ability to put Oishi first, and I could see how it was a beautiful way to show how much he's grown since the last time they had a petty fight over something tennis related. Everything about this story was a great study in growth for both of them, and I think it set things up perfectly for the tone of the upcoming match that Eiji plays.
Haha, I'll even go so far as to say that it almost works as a perfect prequel to my own one-shot, but I'll leave the final judgement up to you after you've read it XD Now I can't wait to see what you're working on with your next GP project, and I'm really excited and happy that you're contining to write for them ^_^ Keep up the good work! ♥
