why am I not asleep? oh right, because I'm obsessed
Someone on
tenimyu scanned and uploaded a magazine interview with Setomaru and the newest D-Boy, the new Kaidoh (can't remember his name). The pictures are completely adorable, and I've been spending the last 2 hours or so trying to translate parts of the interview -- well, Setomaru's parts, anyway.
And EVERYTHING I FIND OUT ABOUT THIS BOY MAKES ME LOVE HIM MORE.
I think I'll try to translate what I can of the whole interview and post it, but here are the highlights of what I've figured out so far:
So, I was just kind of skimming the interview, seeing if I could pick out anything especially interesting -- not really, until Setomaru started talking about when and why he decided to become an actor. He said that in middle school, he wanted to be a "獣医". Now, I just glanced over this word because I didn't instantly recognize it, but then when he said later how after seeing a certain drama he told his mom he wanted to be an actor (which is adorable), I realized that what he had wanted to be in middle school wasn't an actor.
Now, this is a little weird -- for some, insane reason I thought "oh, I wonder if he wanted to be a veterinarian." THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR ME TO THINK THIS. Other than, I suppose, the fact that I love animals. So I go back to the kanji, and I think I recognize that second one -- it's in the kanji for "doctor." So then I think "hmm, he wanted to be a doctor?" And then I look up that first kanji -- and find out it means "animal."
...I about died. I looked up the whole word, saw it meant "veterinarian," and proceeded to giggle like crazy.
After recovering from that (which took awhile), I went on to another interesting part of the interview -- the question was something along the lines of "Now, for our readers, we're going to ask this -- the two of you, what's your 'type'?"
Setomaru immediately replies with "I really like fair-skinned people!" Other guy -- I can remember his first name, it's "Tomo," so we'll just go with that -- says "Oh no, you said it first! Me too." Then they say some stuff that I totally don't understand, and then Setomaru talks about how during his school trip in high school, the bus tour guide was fair-skinned and really pretty, and he got his picture taken with her. Then:
Tomo: Really?! (laugh)
Setomaru: Yep. When I see a fair-skinned person, the tension rises! (laugh)
....Yeeeeah. He says "テンション上がる" ("tension agaru"), and with the crazy way they use the word "tension" in Japanese, I can't really tell exactly what that's supposed to mean. But, I think I can get the general idea. *giggle*
Then, when the interviewer asks Setomaru what else he likes (in a person), he says "Someone cute and pretty," and then "両方持ってる子がいいです," and I'm totally clueless about that. But anyway, he then says "But, a kind person is good."
And then comes the best part. The interviewer asks "Seto-kun's ideal is high, isn't it?" and he answers "Yep! That's why I don't have a girlfriend (laugh)."
...That amuses me to no end. ♥
Then Tomo talks some more, and says something else he likes in a person, which Setomaru agrees with. The interviewer mentions that they like a lot of the same things. Tomo says "Maybe..." and Setomaru says "Rival!! (laugh)" (also adorable)
Interviewer: So, what would you two do if you liked the same person?
Tomo: Wah~ That would be awkward!
Setomaru: I...wouldn't surrender!
Tomo: I would surrender.
*giggle* At the end, Setomaru says "I definitely wouldn't hand over the person I like! (Obviously)" The interviewer says something about him being "surprisingly enthusiastic" (or something along those lines), to which he replies "Yep, because I'm a Kyuushu boy!"
Gah. He's so friggin' cute. ♥ That "Yep, that's why I don't have a girlfriend" just kills me. And the veterinarian thing. And the fact that he's ADORABLE BEYOND WORDS.
...So yeah, now I want to buy the magazine. :D
I'M SO TIRED. ♥

I completely agree ♥ I've thought about it before; the problem is knowing where to send it. Someone over on

They're not allowed to accept presents, that's harsh!! DX We need to find someone who actually lives in Japan me thinks. If there's no one in
no subject
And yeah, it does seem harsh. I don't know how to find out for sure if they can...But I haven't been able to find a fan letter address on their site, so maybe they can't. :( But...if it's possible, we will find a way! *determined*

I'm not certain if this is correct, but someone once explained that the boys have to read the comments before they appear. I think it makes sense, since Yanagi's posts usually get upwards of thirty comments (except for his last two posts, but presumably he's busy with 'Cooky Crown' and 'Puzzle' Promotion) usually while the other boys have none.

But maybe he's just lazy. :D *pokes him* Read your comments, Setomaru~
