my birthday, etc.
Like I said before, Wednesday was my birthday. ♥ My mom showed up outta nowhere in the morning, because apparently she didn't think I had enough planned for my 21st birthday. She got here while I was at work, but they let me leave, and so we had some time to kill before I had to go to classes.
And so, I got her to look at my *pnish* photobooks. :D (Oh, a little backstory first -- last semester, I got my mom to watch the clips on YouTube of Depend on Me and Juuden Kanryou, and at one point during it she said "Well, they're both cute." This still amuses me.) She thought that MoriEiji was the best-looking, and that Daiki looks better when he's trying to look serious, but Tuti doesn't. We also watched both the Happy Birthday song (duh), which she found amusing, and the backstage for the second book -- the one where they dress in drag. She laughed at it. My mother is awesome. ♥
And so is my roommate. When I went to visit my sister a few weeks ago, I discovered that her roommate had this lotion stuff called "Tutti Dulci." I took pictures of it with my phone because I'm a dork, and showed them to my roommate when I got back. And guess what? She got me some for my birthday. :D It's now sitting on my dresser next to the LUSH hand cream that my ex-roommate brought me back from England. It makes me happy. *hopeless*
I've been showing the photobooks to pretty much anyone else I think would let me, as well. I took them to go show the anime club president today, but when I got to where she said she would be, I instead found some other people I knew, so I showed them instead. :D One of them, a guy, was looking through the first book and then pointed to one of the pictures and said "Is this guy 100% Japanese?" I looked over and saw he was pointing to Tuti. :D It amused me.
I'm (theoretically) going to see The Nightmare Before Christmas at the IMAX in a little while (which is awesome), and then I'll be staying up all night because I am watching Panic Studio. If my ex-roommate doesn't decide to hang around in the meantime, maybe I'll get some work done on my fic-in-progress.
And speaking of fics, I'm really, really, really excited about my NaNo story. Gah, I can't wait to get started on it. *impatient*
