Like I said before, Wednesday was my birthday. ♥ My mom showed up outta nowhere in the morning, because apparently she didn't think I had enough planned for my 21st birthday. She got here while I was at work, but they let me leave, and so we had some time to kill before I had to go to classes.

And so, I got her to look at my *pnish* photobooks. :D (Oh, a little backstory first -- last semester, I got my mom to watch the clips on YouTube of Depend on Me and Juuden Kanryou, and at one point during it she said "Well, they're both cute." This still amuses me.) She thought that MoriEiji was the best-looking, and that Daiki looks better when he's trying to look serious, but Tuti doesn't. We also watched both the Happy Birthday song (duh), which she found amusing, and the backstage for the second book -- the one where they dress in drag. She laughed at it. My mother is awesome. ♥

And so is my roommate. When I went to visit my sister a few weeks ago, I discovered that her roommate had this lotion stuff called "Tutti Dulci." I took pictures of it with my phone because I'm a dork, and showed them to my roommate when I got back. And guess what? She got me some for my birthday. :D It's now sitting on my dresser next to the LUSH hand cream that my ex-roommate brought me back from England. It makes me happy. *hopeless*

I've been showing the photobooks to pretty much anyone else I think would let me, as well. I took them to go show the anime club president today, but when I got to where she said she would be, I instead found some other people I knew, so I showed them instead. :D One of them, a guy, was looking through the first book and then pointed to one of the pictures and said "Is this guy 100% Japanese?" I looked over and saw he was pointing to Tuti. :D It amused me.

I'm (theoretically) going to see The Nightmare Before Christmas at the IMAX in a little while (which is awesome), and then I'll be staying up all night because I am watching Panic Studio. If my ex-roommate doesn't decide to hang around in the meantime, maybe I'll get some work done on my fic-in-progress.

And speaking of fics, I'm really, really, really excited about my NaNo story. Gah, I can't wait to get started on it. *impatient*

Wooooah that's so weird about the guy's question about Tuti! Court and I have spent some time in the past and every now and then bring up the question of Tuti's ancestory. Sometimes we're dead-positive that he can't be 100% Japanese, especially with how strongly defined his features are, and then other times we doubt ourselves and just conceed that he's got an unusual type of Japanese facial structure. But even with his height and bone structure it makes for a pretty compelling case that he isn't entirely Japanese, and in fact we know NOTHING about his father, whether he's alive or dead or what his nationality was. So there's always a possibility out there ^_^

And I'm glad it sounds like you had a fun birthday! What nice gifts you got, and I'm really amused that you managed to get so many people to sit still long enough to look at your pnish books :D And I'd love to go see The Nightmare Before Christmas on the IMAX, hell I'd love having an IMAX here at all, so make sure to enjoy the movie thoroughly for all us other people that can't do the same :(

And yay for NaNo! I still have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do, but I'm hoping that the pressure I feel as the date arrives with get the ideas going in my head XD;

I thought it was weird too, considering just last week or so I randomly read an old entry on Fencer's lj (I think) discussing that very topic, and had since been thinking about it myself. :D

And yeah, my birthday was fun. :) The people I showed the photobooks to today are in the anime club, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even tried. (The girl who looked at them also thought MoriEiji was the cutest, which I thought was interesting.)

I didn't see your comment till I got back from the movie, but I did enjoy it thoroughly. :D Well, the movie's awesome anyway, of course. But what I forgot to mention was that this was a 3D IMAX movie, so that was cool, even though the glasses were hideous and way too big and when the camera panned too quick it almost gave me a headache. Still, it was a different experience, and it was cool just seeing it in theaters, since I didn't the first time it came out. :)

Yes, yay for NaNo! And yay for me actually having a plot this year (I always have trouble with plots...). And good luck with getting those ideas going! :D
