Feb. 4th, 2007 11:26 pmYou know the opening song from Side Fudoumine? Whenever I hear that, I always want to cry when Yanagi starts to sing. :(
I think I mentioned before that my roommate's been watching the PoT anime. Yesterday she watched all of the Rikkaidai matches, and I watched them with her, 'cause, well, it's PoT. Oishi yelling at Sanada...♥ Momo and Kaidoh's doubles match is still one of my favorite matches in the whole series. :D (InuKai fans go on and on about the towel Kaidoh hands Inui -- but he gives Momo his bandana. That's love, right there.) And that Golden Pair match...after reading that part of the manga, watching it was like watching a book made into a movie, and being irritated at all of the changes. But I still couldn't help being all "Awww~" when they finally made up. ♥ (The lack of angry!Oishi, flashback love, and Oishi Territory sucks though. Also, my memory is even crappier than I realized, because wow I thought Niou and Yagyuu did the switch-thing in the anime.)
As an aside -- I think I may have figured out why the GP seems to always lose their super-important matches. Because if they won, the only possible outcome would be for them to start making out on the court, and well, Konomi just couldn't have that. :D
Anyway. Why are there not more Fuji/Tachibana fans out there? They totally have a thing going on, what with the hospital visits and the flowers and the grip tape. An even knows, and she pretty much knows everything -- she "gets the hint" that Tachibana wants alone time with Fuji, and drags Momo and Ryoma out with her. I mean, Tachibana even makes her go to the store farther away, and tells her to "walk slow." And then Tachibana hobbles out of the hospital just to watch Fuji's match and make sure he's okay. Plus, in one of the Japanese manga volumes I have, Fuji goes to Tachibana's house to play a match with him! And really, they seem like they'd go pretty well together, personality-wise.
Uh...there was more. Oh yes! On last night's episode of the Bleach dub, Ichimaru made his debut. I really couldn't tell whether I liked his voice or not. But I realized that I also really couldn't remember at all what his Japanese voice sounded like -- it's been over a year since I watched Bleach, I think, since I stopped watching when it got licensed. So (after watching "the song" from Dark of the Bleeding Moon again ♥), I decided to look up a clip with him in it, both to remind myself what he sounds like, and to show my roommate. The first clip I found was his fight with Toushirou. :D Since I remember Toushirou's voice (mainly 'cause he has Ed's voice from FMA), I already knew Nagayan did a pretty good job of matching it, but hearing it again confirmed it.
What I hadn't realized, though, was how close to Ichimaru Tuti really sounds. I was kind of gaping at the screen for a little while, and was rather impressed. ♥
Then I found some other clips, so my roommate could hear Ichigo's Japanese voice, since the voice is perfect for him. (Also, I missed hearing it. :( ) And we watched some of the Ukitake-gives-Toushirou-candy clips. :D And now I just kind of miss watching Bleach in general. I usually try not to watch series after they've been licensed (PoT has been a glaring exception), but...I really miss Bleach. :( And I've been wanting an anime series to watch lately; since Host Club ended, and xxxHolic and Death Note got licensed, I haven't had things to watch every week. (...I really should just find and watch the rest of xxxHolic, though, I think I only didn't see the last 3 episodes or so.) I can't really use BitTorrent at school, or I just would have started watching a new series.
Hmm, the 2nd season of Tsubasa still hasn't been licensed. I totally forgot about that series. I wonder if it's up on YouTube...
In writing news, Tuti and Nagayan are trying to distract me from the Golden Pair. I was putting off the longer TxN fic I wanted to write 'cause I didn't know how to go about it, but I've since figured that all out, and so now the sentences keep jumping in my head when I should be thinking about other things (like listening to my professors in class :D). If I didn't have 3 tests and a paper due this week, I'd plan on at least starting the thing, so maybe they'd leave me alone for a while and I could go back to my GP fic. As it is, I'll just have to hope next weekend is more productive than this one has been.
By Japan-time, Tuti's birthday is tomorrow! Any bets on who he spends it with? :D
