Okay, so, my birthday was Wednesday, and I'm going to make a longer post later about what I got and how I'm turning my mom into a *pnish* fan, but one of the things I got was an MP3 player. Listening to songs on little tiny speakers right in your ears is a slightly different experience than listening to them on comptuer speakers. You notice more things.

Or you finally hear something you suspected long ago well enough to become convinced.

I take it you have all heard Eiji's song "My Lover"? (If not, let me know and I'll figure out some way to get it to you.) Well, in that song, there's another voice singing along with Eiji's.

Am I the only person who think it sounds like Oishi?

I've thought it for a long time, but I can really hear it now. I wonder if it has that other singer listed in the booklet that comes with the CD? ...I wonder how much the CD is?

Nya! Happy late birthday! *hugs* I hope it was lots of fun... ^__^

...and hmm. I don't have Eiji's CD with me here, but... I certainly don't remember ever hearing (or noting) another voice on that song. O___o If there is, someone should know about it though. *nods* Someone more informed than I. ^_~

Thanks!! It was fun. :)

Ah, I should have mentioned that the other voice is only during certain parts. I was a little in shock and didn't think about it... *listens to it again* It's in the parts that make up the "chorus," so to speak. Just the first half of a few lines, really, and it's kinda hard to hear over Eiji, but when whoever it is sings the "i~" at the end of those parts it really sounds like Oishi. It reminds me of when they're singing together in Happy Goody.

...Of course, I'm probably just crazy and hearing things, but oh well. :D

Hmm, I can hear another voice, but there's no one else credited anywhere on the CD or lyrics book for that song (like Kondou is credited for Happy Goody, and Hoshi Souichirou for the duet with Gakuto), and knowing Hiroki's vocal talents, I'm betting it's him after recording a backtrack for the CD, especially since it's also there in the karaoke version, where you can REALLY tell it's Hiroki (the voice is quite high, and very much him XD) if you want I can rip it for ya :D

There's a karaoke version of that song? I would love to hear that. :)

And even if it is him, I'm going to just pretend he's trying to sound like Oishi. :D

Thank you~!

...After listening to both songs several times...I don't think that's the same voice. At least, it doesn't sound like the same voice, to me. The karaoke one is obviously Hiroki, like you said, but...I don't think it sounds the same on the regular version. It sounds deeper.

Of course, that could just be in comparison to Eiji's voice. But I'm a crazy fangirl who loves Oishi's voice far more than she should and wouldn't really mind at all if he were in all of Eiji's songs. Or all the PoT songs in general.

Plus, it's just more fun to think it's Oishi, or at least supposed to sound like Oishi, so I suppose I'll just stay in denial. :D
