Aha..ha...ha.....

I was looking up stuff on Setomaru's movie, "Tonari no 801-chan," and decided to see if the director for that had been involved in anything else I knew. I thought to myself, "Haha, it would be funny if he directed, like, Boys Love or something."
So I look the guy up on the Japanese Wikipedia, and...
HE DID DIRECT BOYS LOVE.
...................................
I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Seriously. There were a couple of scenes in Boys Love that I really really liked -- the pool scenes mainly, especially the first one -- but, overall I didn't really like the movie at all. That was more because of the plot than anything, though, and since Tonari is actually based on something else, I hopefully won't have to worry about the storyline too much...
But it does make me wonder what all might be in this movie, considering that it is, after all, about a guy dating a yaoi fangirl. Should be interesting....
Haha, also, I've discovered that the character Setomaru is playing is 28 years old. It was mentioned on the report for the latest Prince Series event, and it also said it on something I was looking at today. The boy is 19 years old, his most well-known role is playing a 14-year-old, people like to say he looks 12, and....now he's playing someone who's 28. It amuses me. :D

Date: 2007-06-25 05:29 pm (UTC)I still need to watch Boys Love. I also need to watch Switch so I may just pick a night to watch both and get all the sad stuff out of the way in one night.
Then I can follow up with a Delicious Gakuin marathon(since I'm behind anyways) to cheer me up!

Date: 2007-06-26 12:37 pm (UTC)But yeah, like you said, it's already based on something else. And besides, he's the director and not the scriptwriter, so we can at least be assured that the director didn't have a hand in the original script? Ah, but you know how directors are -- if they don't like a line in a scene, they demand a rewrite of the ENTIRE scene. O_o
Don't worry, Seto'll be just fine. ^_______^
