Also, I would like to thank BTR for continuing to be the most amazing show ever. I was a little worried the latest episode would crush some of my plans for this fic, but with a slight adjustment it actually fits in sort of perfectly. So, Parts 1-3 take place before Big Time Rocker, with the rest continuing sometime after...I think.

Pairings/Characters: Despite the title this is basically James/Logan, though I'm not sure yet how far it's going to go.

Warnings: Homophobic slurs. I seriously, seriously apologize if it offends anyone. I actually couldn't even bring myself to type them yet; I'll be filling them in when I copy/paste the fic. Also run-on sentences, excessive use of semi-colons and em-dashes. Woo.

Summary: Logan and James make a secret pact that alters the course of their friendship.

Author's Notes: This is my first fic for these guys, so...be nice but be honest? It's totally self-edited, and since I'm just too excited to post it it probably hasn't been edited enough. Feel free to point out any mistakes or general weirdness :) And I have no idea how long this is going to be. This first part was supposed to be quick and to the point, but it ended up over 6,000 words, so we'll see. I think there probably won't be more than 5 parts, though.

Oh, and I suggest imagining the boys making their ridiculous faces while reading this. It totally makes it better. On to the fic!

( Part 1: The Pact )

I am in love with this show. Totally, completely in love with this show.

So I've been writing this fic, and I'm like halfway done with it and I know what's going to happen for the rest. There was a new episode of BTR on last night, and when I found out what the episode was about I was a little worried it might clash with what I have planned for the fic.

But I kept telling myself that this is BTR, so even if I had to change things a little it wouldn't completely screw up my ideas for the characters.

Not quite finished with the episode, but so far not only has it completely reinforced basically everything I thought about the characters (because that's what this show does, shows you over and over that they really do know these characters and so everything each one does makes sense), it has actually added a new depth to the fic. Because I can totally see this episode happening after what I've already written and it still making complete sense.

Unless something drastic happens in the last 6 minutes. And since at least 2 minutes of that is a music video I don't see that happening.

Because this show is amazing and perfect and Logan is in drag again.

ETA: Okay, so they played him off as a guy with weird hair. But THE WIG. That wig was the sole reason he wanted to make out with his ex-girlfriend. He liked her in the wig. Without the wig, no interest. AND SHE MADE HIM WEAR THE WIG.

Also:

Carlos: You can't date both of us at the same time!
Rocker chick: Yes I can.
James: Uh, no, we agreed--that's weird. (aside to Carlos) We agreed that's weird, right?
Carlos: Yes!

Moral of this exchange? ...I'm not really sure. Something about James not caring if he shares a girl with Carlos. But what makes it better is that to James, dating both of them at the same time would probably be just that--going on dates with both of them. Simultaneously. As in, three people. This is actually something that to me seems completely believable for James to think. And be okay with, especially if it's Carlos. (Kendall not so much, Logan...well. That would get into my shipping tendencies ;))

Current Mood: enthralled

Big Time Rush is a made-for-TV boy band that is also a real boy band. (Think The Monkees. I've never seen that TV show, but apparently the two have a lot in common.) Consisting of four hot guys in their early 20s playing high schoolers, who touch each other constantly both on-set and off. And make comments like the one in my (admittedly crappy) icon.

And since everyone should know who they are, I'm making this post :D

This is gonna be a big post, but uh...I'll try not to ramble too much. But seriously guys, this is like *pnish* and D-Boys and 3rd-cast all over again, except in English so I don't have to struggle to understand them, and they're all so wonderful and I love them all so much that there will definitely be a bit of rambling.

But I'm gonna include pictures, so if you just wanna scroll and look at the pretty that's okay with me ;)

Aaaand I think I'm going to stop there for now, because if I start getting into the shipping aspect of the show in this post it'll be way too long. So I'll save that for next time. :D

So the main reason I haven't updated in forever, other than that I am lazy, is that I have no desire to talk about myself because it will just sound whiny. Essentially, my life kinda really sucks and it's entirely my own fault, and until I remedy the situation I just don't want to talk about it at all.

But I miss interacting with you guys (I do try to keep up with my f-list, and comment when I can and have something of interest to say), and there's been a ton of not-related-to-my-life stuff that I've been not posting about because I thought I owed you guys a real update first.

Maybe I do, but I just...can't, right now. So instead I'm going to skip it and just get to the random other things I want to talk about.

Like my writing, which was doing really well for a while there but now I've been distracted again. And also the excessive amounts of TV I've been watching the past few months. And my new current obsession which will probably end up being the topic of my next post.

Anyway. I'm sorry I've been away so long, and I'm sorry this is a crappy I'm-back post. Next post will be filled with pretty flirty boys, so...something to look forward to, at least? <3

Okay, I know I'm long overdue for a real update, and I will get around to it, I promise (I've been keeping up with my f-list, at least!), but just wanted to make a quick post to say...

Prop 8 was overturned today :D I knew about the case but I hadn't been following it, and just now as my mom was getting online I walked by and happened to catch a picture of two guys kissing in the news section of her home page. I did a double-take and looked closer to see what it was about, then proceeded to get really excited :D That link is to the first article I found with a quick Google search, and it looks like of course there's going to be more legal crap to follow, but still. This is pretty awesome, no?

...but I had to comment on this picture.

aowejflaskjdflaksjf PRETTY. ♥ His hair there reminds me of Araki's a while back, when it was shorter -- and as much as I don't like Araki, I do love his hair, so yay. :D

Okay, people on my f-list who are in Japan -- all 2 of you -- is there anything pressing you need to do at 7 pm today? If not, would you mind terribly watching a bit of a show for me?

Today at 7 on Fuji TV, Setomaru will be on a show called "Nekketsu! Heisei Kyouiku Gakuin." I know this is late notice, but it was just announced on the D-Boys site. I've been spending the past hour or so trying to find anything I can about the show, and from the Wikipedia article and what I've found on Google it looks like an "educational" quiz-type show, where they have a panel of people plus some guests (actors and such) who have to answer questions about various things.

The thing is, I have no idea if Setomaru is going to be on the show as a guest, or as a regular member. If he's just a guest, there's probably no way I'll ever be able to see it, so I would love so very very much if someone could watch just a bit of it and give me some idea as to what happens. ♥ If you can't (or just don't want to) I understand, but I had to try!

For anyone interested in seeing what the show's about, here's a clip from YouTube with some actor I don't know giving wrong answers (poor boy), and here's a page that looks like it has downloads of a couple episodes. I'm (very slowly) downloading one now, so we'll see if it works~

Also, this show isn't at all a drama, so it's still not the show Setomaru taked about in his latest blog entry. But I really do wonder why this was just posted on the day (or the day before, according to the D-Boys site) it's being aired....
