No, I really couldn't help the Golden Pair reference there. :D

So, yes. I have a question.

Let's say, hypothetially, that I was wanting to send a fanletter to someone in Japan.

How would I go about addressing the envelope?

I looked on the USPS website, but...it's not entirely helpful. Can I write the address in kanji, or no? I would actually prefer doing it that way, because I'm paranoid about the romaji and what goes on which line and all. Plus, I want to feel special 'cause I can write out the kanji.

Thanks in advance~ ♥

*yawn*...Yeah, I really don't think I'll be making it the next 20 minutes until PaniSuta starts. Oh well, the connection will probably suck as usual anyway. Sorry Tuti, Naoya :(

Shingurusu to daburusu naraaaaa~~~~~~ Oh Oishi, I love you. ♥

Anyway.

Ahaha. I'm sending a fanletter to Adachi, but I'm just going to print out that part of the scan you sent me (cropped for just the address, of course) and stick it onto the envelope. LOL. ♥

If I were you, I'd write it in kanji, and then also romanize it. >_> If it's only a letter, you shouldn't HAVE to romanize it though. As long as you write JAPAN romanized on the bottom, it'll get there. But if it's something you have to fill out a customs form for, then you will have to romanize it on there. *nods*

Thanks! ♥

According to Fencer, just romanizing it will work, so I suppose I'll do that. I'd still kinda like to write it in both, but I don't know how I would fit them both on the envelope...at least not without it looking silly. Ah well.

You can write the whole thing in romaji, no problem :)

I usually write mine in the standard order of a western letter, i.e. Name at the top, then building, then city info, then prefecture, then Japan, then zip lastly. Gets there every single time without fail ^____^

Let's say you had this address:

〒150-0033
東京都渋谷区猿楽町2-3 コーポ天城201
スターダストプロモーション内××××(タレント名)

The address for sending people from TakiYuki's office fanmail. It'd go like this--

Takiguchi Yukihiro-sama
Stardust Promotion
Koppo Amagi 201
Sarugaku-chou 2-3
Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
150-0033
JAPAN

If there's anything you're not sure about how to put into romaji (like for that, the building name was really weird, and might not even be correct), then you can probably just leave it in kanji/kana if you're comfortable with it. But things like the "chou" and "ku" and prefecture can be easily written out :)

Hmm...okay. Thanks! ♥ So, just to make sure, this:

〒160-0022
東京都新宿区新宿1-1-14-3F
D-BOYS「瀬戸康史」宛

Would (ignoring how weird it is to use "-sama" for someone younger than me), become this:

Seto Koji-sama
D-BOYS
Shinjuku 1-1-14-3F
Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
160-0022
JAPAN

Correct? See, they're all easy kanji, which is why I was kinda wanting to just write them out. But if romanizing them means it'll definitely get there, I don't wanna mess with what works! :D

And thanks again. ♥ After I actually found an address, I was having this dilemma of how to write it...on top of the whole embarrassment at actually wanting to send something in the first place. That hasn't really gone away, but whatever. :D

Do you know Adachi's address? Can you tell me?

I posted Adachi's address over on [livejournal.com profile] d_boys earlier this year. Here's the post. (http://community.livejournal.com/d_boys/54380.html) I would think it's still the right address, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks!!

By the way, do I still need to include Adachi's address written in Japanese when I'll send a letter? Or is the romanized version enough?

You're welcome~ As far as I know, the romanized one should be enough. You could include both if you wanted. Maybe you should ask at the post office?
